ABOUT THE PROGRAM:

Summer @ City Hall (S@CH) is a summer interactive learning experience that provides high school students an opportunity to learn about local government processes, the tiers of the city, and how to become an active citizen in their communities.

 

Program participants are supported by adult allies including credentialed teachers, city staff, and peer mentors facilitating learning opportunities focused on civic engagement, local level governmental structures, and youth development practices.

 

Upon completion of the program, participants attending qualified schools within the partnering districts,(Sac City Unified, Twin Rivers Unified, Natomas Unified), receive (5) high school elective credits and a monetary stipend of $500.00. Participants attending high schools outside of the partnering districts, but reside in the Sacramento City limits receive a letter of successfully completed Community Service hours and a monetary stipend of $500.

Program Dates:  Monday, June 24, 2024 – Friday, July 26, 2024.

Upon completion of the program, participants will receive five high school elective credits (students not attending partnering school districts receive a letter of completion for community service hours) and a monetary stipend.
