Key Dates- Elementary School

Program Length: June 23 - July 25
Time: Monday - Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm

Parent Notification:  Starting May 12, 2025 - June 6, 2025

Summer Matters 2025@SCUSD-Elementary

For current TK-5th grade students.

  • 24 days of programming.

  • The SummerMatters@SCUSD-Elementary program will operate Monday through Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm from June 23 to July 25.  No program on July 4.

  • Academic intervention and enrichment (8:00am-5:00pm) to minimize learning gaps & reduce summer learning loss.

  • Students will be provided with a daily breakfast, lunch and snack as a part of the program.

  • Each of the Summer Matters@SCUSD-Elementary sites will serve as a community school to allow students from ALL SCUSD schools to enroll.

All Programs will consist of the following:

  • Opportunity to participate in targeted math, language arts, and English language development academic intervention with certificated teachers to strengthen and equip students with skills that will transition into the next grade level.

  • Opportunity to participate in enriching structured learning experiences and special events.

  • Opportunities to learn and practice cooperative and collaborative learning skills.

  • Opportunities to engage and work with various community learning partners.

  • Opportunities to learn, practice, and develop social and emotional skills.

  • Opportunities to engage in daily physical activity.

Only for students currently attending the 24-25 school year at SCUSD.
